By Alabama News Network

Alabama's only Air Force Reserve Unit got a new commander today.

Colonel Adam Willis formally assumed command of the 908th airlift wing on Maxwell Air Force Base.
He comes to Alabama from Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

Willis began his career with the Air Force in 1988, after training at Northern Arizona University's Reserve Officer Training Corps.
He says he is looking forward to his new position in Montgomery.

Willis replaces Colonel Brett Clark, who commanded the wing from 2008 to November 2013.
