Music Lovers From Across Southeast Visit the Capital City

By Alabama News Network

Country and rock fans from all around the Southeast were in the capital city to see some of their favorite bands hit the stage to rock the Montgomery Motorsports Park.

Friday, four different rock bands cranked it up at The Rock Show and Saturday nine different country stars shined at the "In the Country Music Fest."

There were performances by singers like Steve Holy, James Otto and Donica Knight.

Officials say that this first ever event hosted by WLWI and 95.1The Fox, helped bring in folks from all over the southeast.

Tickets for the "In the Country Music Fest" were $35 but kids ten and under got in for free.

Concert coordinators say this year's success will continue the rock and country shows next year.
