Mtgy. City Council Approves Entertainment District Time Restraints

Tools

By Ashley Thompson

Montgomery's entertainment districts now have new time restraints.

The city council has voted unanimously to stop anyone from walking outside with an open container of alcohol past midnight.

Restaurants and bars will still be allowed to sell alcohol past midnight, but all the drinking has to happen inside.

Council members say the new time restraint will help with underage drinking, something they say has been a problem in these areas.

If you break the new time limit rule, you can be fined or even arrested.
