After a shooting Friday night in Montgomery, police are treating a homicide as a death investigation.
Montgomery Police believe the shooting started from drug related activity.
Just after 6 p.m. Friday, police and fire medics arrived at 5900 block of Oakleigh Road to find 28-year old Lashum Bean with multiple gun shot wounds.
Bean was transported to Baptist South where he later died from his injuries.
Shortly thereafter, 25-year old Christopher Long went to the hospital from the same shooting.
Police tell CBS 8 news Long had surgery and his injuries are life threatening, but he is in stable condition.
This is an ongoing investigation.
