Riverfront Park Packed for Montgomery's First "Second Saturday"

By Alabama News Network

The warm spring-like weather brought in the crowds for Montgomery's first "Second Saturday" at Riverfront Park .

There was a car show, performances from Fly By Radio, face painting, a magician and balloon twisting. The Sandbar and local food vendors were also open for food and drinks.

"It gets people out to enjoy their cars. There are some good cars out here and it's a really good family atmosphere," said Steven Bishop, who attended the event.

"There are a lot of things going on where kids can come out, jump in the play house, and a lot of good vendors. It's really good for the downtown area," he said.

"Second Saturday" wrapped up lighting up the night skies downtown with a fireworks show. The next "Second Saturday" will be May 11.
