A Montgomery woman has been convicted in the 2012 stabbing death of a 65-year-old man.

The Montgomery Advertiser reported 30-year-old Tasha Atchison shot and stabbed Paul Tatum Jr. after an argument in her mobile home.

Authorities say Atchison dumped his body on the side of Frederick Douglass Road in Lowndes County and covered Tatum with tree branches. The man was reported missing in early August.

Officials have said two of Atchison's brothers helped her transport and dump Tatum's body and have pleaded guilty to hindering prosecution.

Atchison is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 29.
