Montgomery Police responded to Jefferson Davis High School Thursday afternoon after receiving a 911 call reporting that four males were in the cafeteria armed with handguns. The call was received at approximately 1:20 p.m., and the school was immediately placed on lockdown.

Officers searched the cafeteria and found that no subjects were in the cafeteria at the time of the call. At that time, the remainder of the school was searched with negative results. The school remained on lockdown until 2:45 p.m.

The Montgomery Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances of the call.
