Montgomery Police Investigate the City's 43rd Homicide

The Montgomery Police Department is investigating the city’s 43rd homicide this year following the shooting death Monday evening of 34-year-old Anthony Bailey of Greenville.

MPD and Fire Medics responded to the 1900 block of Hilldale Drive at about 8:40 p.m. on Monday Nov. 11, after receiving a report of a subject shot. At the scene, they located the victim, who was transported to Baptist Medical Center South where he later was pronounced dead.

The circumstances surrounding this fatal shooting are under investigation. No arrests have been made.

Bailey’s death is Montgomery’s 43rd homicide of 2013. No additional information is available for release relative to this ongoing investigation.
