Montgomery Fire and Rescue Win National Firefighter Combat Challenge

By Alabama News Network

The National Firefighter Combat Challenge comes to a close today. Our very own Montgomery Fire and Rescue team "Blue" won first place in the Open Relay category.

The team finished in one minute and 11 seconds, just four seconds away from the world record time.

The city hosted the regional finals for two years before this, but this is the first time it's hosted the National Finals.

Montgomery "Blue" will head to Las Vegas, Nevada, in two weeks to compete in the twenty-second World Challenge.
