Montgomery Apartment Fire Displaces 12 Families

Several Montgomery families are without homes after a fire broke out Sunday afternoon in their apartment complex.

The fire happened around 11:00 in the morning just off Eastern Boulevard at Green Meadow Apartments. Twelve apartments were damaged in the fire. All of the units on the second floor received heavy fire and water damage.

None of the residents were injured in the fire but one firefighter was transported for heat exhaustion.
   
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Horrible thing. To make matters worse two men was seen leaving the builiding that had burned up hording. How could someone steal from someone that had lost almost everything.
