Mobile Patrol Smart Phone App Available in Wilcox Co.

By George McDonald

From the West Alabama Newsroom--  The Wilcox County Sheriff's Office has a new high-tech tool to help them protect and serve the public.

Sheriff Earnest Evans says the new Mobile Patrol smart phone app allows people access information and get alerts from the sheriff's office.

Evans says the app can be downloaded and used on any smart phone. He says Wilcox County is one of only seven counties in the state using the new app.

"Just go to your Apple Store on your phone or your app store and download Mobile Patrol and you can go to the county that you want to go to in Alabama, like I say, we are one of seven, so you can go to that county and download it," he said.

Evans say about two hundred people have already downloaded the app.
