Mistrial in "Critterman" Murder Trial

By Alabama News Network

It's a mistrial in the capital murder trial of a man charged with killing a well-known Montgomery animal trapper.

Jurors could not reach a verdict in the trial of Kindall Riley.  He's one of four people charged with killing Ralph McNeil, who many remember as "Skip the Critterman."

Prosecutors say in January 2011, former doctor David Nash and McNeil's ex-fiancé Serenna English hired Riley and his cousin to kill McNeil, because they say McNeil and English were in a custody battle.
