A missing Dallas County man is found unharmed in Lowndes County early Wednesday morning.

Sheriff Harris Huffman says a motorist spotted 68 year old Fred Brown of Minter wandering alone along Highway 21 at around three o'clock in the morning.

Huffman says Brown was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation.

"It appears there's been no bodily harm to him, but he was a little disoriented when the deputies got up to the hospital this morning," he said.

Huffman says search crews had been combing the wooded areas where Brown was last seen before he went missing Monday afternoon.

A state trooper helicopter and a canine unit were also called in to help during the search.
