The body of an elderly Crenshaw County man who went missing at the end of October was found Wednesday near Highland Home.

The remains of 87-year-old Cecil Mock were found in the woods near his home on Pouncey Road around noon.

Crenshaw County Sheriff's deputies searched for mock for several days in October and November and they say his body was only 300 yards from where they were looking.

Authorities say Mock was known to walk several miles a day.

They believe he died of natural causes.
