Massive Fire at Montgomery Apartment Complex

By CBS 8 News

CBS 8 News was on the scene of a huge fire at a Montgomery apartment complex on Vaughn Road Wednesday night.

Our Live CBS 8 Alfa SkyCam caught video of huge fireballs that filled the night sky during our 10 o'clock newscast.

The apartment building is behind the Max Federal Credit Union building at the Vaughn Meadows apartment complex.

Lt. K.O. Jones with the Montgomery Fire Department says a building with eight apartment units caught fire and were heavily damaged.  He says four other units also received damage.  He says no injuries have been reported, and chaplains, the American Red Cross, and apartment managers were working to make sure families displaced have somewhere to go.

Lt. Jones says the exact cause of the blaze remains under investigation.  Stay with CBS 8 News for the latest information.
