Man Sentenced for Murder

Shots fired during dice game last year

By CBS-8 Reporter

A man has been sentenced to twenty years in prison for the murder of a Wetumpka man in 2011.

Judge Sibley Reynolds sentenced Kelvin Mitchell to twenty-years for his part in the death of 30 year old Quintin Thomas of Wetumpka in December of 2011.

The shooting stemmed from an argument during a dice game.

Also charged in the murder is Robert Griffin, who prosecutors say provided the pistol used in the murder.
