Montgomery Police have arrested Tarus Giles, 29, in connection with multiple school break-ins.
Police say around 2 a.m. on Monday, January 28, they responded to Floyd Elementary School on the 600 block of Augusta Avenue.
Police found a broken window and witnessed Giles running in front of the building.
After questioning, detectives developed information to charge Giles with 10 counts of third-degree burglary in connection with the break-ins.
The majority of the school burglaries involved the theft of petty cash.
Police say the burglaries involved the following schools.

Peter Crump Elementary, January 14, 2013
Lanier High School, January 26, 2013

Capitol Heights Junior High, the weekend of January 28, 2013
Robert E. Lee High School, the weekend of January 28, 2013
Floyd Elementary, January 28, 2013
Giles is being held under bonds totaling $142,500.
