Montgomery Police Investigating City's 18th Homicide

Montgomery police are currently investigating the city's 18th homicide of 2013.

Police were called out to a subject down on Cook Avenue and Lower Wetumpka Road around 7 this morning.  

The victim's body was found in the front yard of a home on the 300 block of Cook Avenue.

Police confirm the female victim was fatally shot.

At this time, Montgomery police do not have a suspect in custody.

I live 3 blocks from there and we hear gunshots regularly in the neighborhood. late at night and early in the mornings, mostly on weekends.
