Montgomery Police Investigate City's 17th Homicide

Montgomery Police are investigating city's 17th homicide.

According to Montgomery Police, on Thursday around 10:45 p.m., MPD and fire medics responded to the 4900 block of Hatton Avenue.

At the scene, they located 18 year old John Tolliver who had sustained a gunshot wound.

Tolliver was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead before midnight.

Police say initial investigation indicate the shooting stemmed from an altercation among individuals known to each other.

No arrests have been made and police ask if you have any information regarding this shooting to please call CrimeStoppers at 215-STOP, Secret Witness at 262-4000, or the Montgomery Police Department at
625-2831.
