By Alabama News Network

The Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts is letting you in for free starting at 1 P.M. on the first Sunday of the month.

It's part of the first Sunday initiative.

Museum guides will show visitors around the Fine Arts Museum, the oldest in the state and tell the history of the museum's many pieces of art.

The museum hosts permanent displays along with traveling exhibitions

Many of the paintings were donated by Winton Blount, the man who donated the land park.

Museum officials hope the free admission will encourage more people to come out.

Anyone interested in more info can visited museum's website here.
