Luverne, Alabama.
It may be a small town... with less than 3 thousand people.
But when it comes to football...their hometown team has big time support.

"If the community doesn't come out and support these boys there is something wrong with them because they deserve all the support they can get," said Luverne graduate James Holliday.

James Holliday and John Frost are both graduates of Luverne High School and looking forward to the big game.

Even though Luverne has made playoffs 30 straight years, this year they think they have something really special.

"Luverne hasn't had a team like this 2003 when Mike Dubose was here originally and I mean you can tell the town is behind these boys," said Frost.

And they come from all over to support them.

"We just drove down from Birmingham to cheer on the Luverne Tigers football team!"

It's about carrying on traditions, wearing red and white, cheering on the tigers, and
showing that hometown pride.

"It's a small town enviornment, very family oriented. Everybody knows everybody. They come to the football game and go to the chicken shack," said Cooper.

And they are ready to cheer on their tigers all the way to victory.

"Luverne has a real good chance of going all the way. IF they focus on thegame in front of them, they could be in the championship," said Frost.
