A high school football game Thursday night in Linden was called by officials after a players brawl broke during the game.
The fight happened in the third quarter of the game between Linden and Wilcox Central.
It started after a Linden player was tackled by a Wilcox player after a long run and the two players started pushing each other and some of the other players jumped in.
A total of twenty-five players were ejected.
"I'm sure there's going to be some sanctions, some fines and we're going to do our own in-house investigation to see what we're going to have to do do here at the school system," said interim Linden City School Superintendent George Baldwin.
The two schools could face fines of $300 dollars per player ejected.
The Alabama High School Athletic Association is reviewing the incident to determine what-- if any penalties-- each school should get.
