Tuskegee mayor-elect Johnny Ford was Live on CBS 8 News at 6:00 to talk about his plans now that he's regained the mayor's office for what will be his eighth term.

He told CBS 8 news anchor Glenn Halbrooks about his priorities to help restart electronic bingo machines at Victoryland and to lure Walmart back to Tuskegee.

Ford was first elected as Tuskegee mayor in 1972 and served six terms before losing a re-election bid in the 1990s.

That's when he was elected as a state representative, then served a seventh term as mayor before losing to Omar Neal in 2008. Tuesday, he defeated Neal to get an eighth term.
