A Huntsville man is dead after an early morning crash in Montgomery. Montgomery Police say Wilmer Jackson Junior died at the scene around 4:30 Sunday.

Investigators say Jackson was driving south on I-65 when his Chevy Silverado left the roadway. They say it then struck the trailer of an 18-wheeler, which was parked on the shoulder underneath the Highway 80 overpass.

Two people in the 18-wheeler received minor injuries.

This is Montgomery's 18th traffic fatality of the year.
