Hundreds March for VictoryLand Voting Rights

By LaKia Starks

A big talking point of the voting rally in Tuskegee voting rights.

Tuskegee Mayor Johnny Ford led a march towards Attorney General Luther Strange's office building.

Protestors say Strange violated their voting rights when the state raided gaming industries, effectively shutting down VictoryLand Casino in Macon County, in February 2013.

He seized more than $1500 machines and $200,000 in cash.

Residents had approved constitutional amedments to allow electronic bingo before the raids.

The VictoryLand case was supposed to start June third, but it's been delayed until later this month to give attorneys time to get ready.
