Unimaginable and horrific. Those are the words a man used to describe what it is like to find out that his son-in-law has been shot and killed as he waits for answers.

Crenshaw County Investigators confirm one man is dead after a shooting on the corner of Davenport Highway and Upper Bozeman Road in Highland Home. Community members say they are shocked.

"We called him Boss and seen him working on his truck. Next thing we do is stop up the street and talk and we heard the gun shots, you know. Come back down through here, cops was here, and he just laying out there dead," says Arochie Primus, a community member.

Primus says when he heard between three and five gunshots, he thought someone was hunting. Not that the man they called Boss had just been killed, "It's sad, you know. It's a hard feeling. Especially when you see a person one second, and then the next second, you know, he's dead."

Investigators have not released the name of the victim and have not yet made an arrest in the case.
