The Highland Home School community has lost a student today. 16-year-old Drew Bradley died this morning around 8:30 a.m. after surgery for injuries she sustained in a car accident on Saturday.

The wreck happened around 5:50 p.m. last night on County Road 59 in Highland Home. Bradley was airlifted to Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery.

The wreck appears to be a single car accident. Bradley was not wearing her seatbelt. However, Alabama State Troopers are continuing to investigate.

Members of the Highland Home family gathered at noon today to pray for the Bradley and H.H.S. families.

An assembly will be held tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. for students in grades seven through 12 in the gymnasium. Counselors will be on hand for students. It is not open to the public.
