Today life is changing forever for a Prattville family.

Habitat for Humanity of Autauga and Chilton Counties finished its 28th home.

The new homeowners Debra Howard and her family in Prattville.

Howard spent hundreds of hours on other homes for Habitat recipients, before working on her own.

She finished it with the help of dozens of volunteers.

Habitat for Humanity volunteers say the home is the most energy efficient home they have built locally so far.
