By Alabama News Network

Volunteers worked to raise the walls of a new home they're just starting to build.

Since early 2000, Habitat for Humanity has built 24 houses in New Hope Village and 74 in the River Region area.

Each house takes about six months to build depending on how many volunteers participate.

And today, representatives from Junior League and Wells Fargo were on hand to make a difference in one family's life.

Denesia Garrison the future owner of the home says that  is excited for the home and to be living closer to her family.
