This time of the year, people are putting up holiday decorations and twinkling lights, and it's no different at the Governor's Mansion.

Governor and Mrs. Bentley will open the doors of the Governor's mansion for holiday candlelight tours from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on December 3,10 and 17.

Decorators from across the state volunteered to decorate the mansion and the neighboring Hill House for the holidays.

This is the second Christmas at the Governor's Mansion for the Bentleys.

Patricia “Sister” Schubert will be signing copies of the new Alabama Tourism Department book, Alabama Food at the candlelight tours of the governor’s mansion on Monday, Dec. 3 from 5 to 7 p.m. Other book signings of Alabama Food by contributing editors Brian S. Jones and Marilyn Jones Stamps will take place on Dec. 10 and 17.

Tickets for the tours are available free of charge at the Governor’s Mansion gift shop prior to the tours each day. The Governor’s Mansion gift shop is located at 30 Finley Avenue across the street from the side entrance of the mansion.
