(Montgomery) --Jobs are on Governor Robert Bentley's mind...especially after another monthly uptick in the unemployment rate was reported on Friday.
Bentley wants to continue attracting Chinese businesses to Alabama.mostly for the jobs they bring with them. He spoke to a group of Chinese visitors attending a conference in Montogmery this morning. They'll visit the Hundai plant, and the constrution site where the Golden Dragon plant is being constructed in Wilcox County.
But Bentley's Repubican Party and Presidential Candiate , Mitt Romney, have been attacked by China for supporting arms sales to Taiwan and calling China the number one offender in theft of patents and intellectural property. Mitt Romney has also promised to brand China a currently manipulator on his first day in office:
Says the Governor: "I know there is a lot that's being said and talked about on the national level as far as the presidential campaign but i'm so busy working in alabama I don't really have time to listen to that"
The economy in China has been slowing in recent mnonths, but the Governor says Alabama offers a combination of incentives and natural resources that make the state an ideal match for chinese investment.
