Gov. Bentley Creates Ala. Medicaid Advisory Commission

Governor Robert Bentley signs an executive order to help increase the efficiency of the state's Medicaid program.

The Alabama Medicaid Advisory Commission was created by the order.

The commission will be responsible for evaluating the financial structure of the Alabama Medicaid Agency and to help ensure long-term sustainability of the agency.

It will then make recommendations to Governor Bentley before the 2012 Legislative Session.

State Health Officer Doctor Don Williamson be the commission's chair.
