Golden Apple Teacher of the Year Finalists

This week, Alabama News Network is featuring the Golden Apple Teacher of the year Finalists as votes roll in for the winner.


In lowndes county, Jackson Steele Elementary School's fifth grade teacher Tony Rudolph was nominated by a parent of one of his former students.

Mr. Rudolph is known to tutor students after hours... Even taking time to help those who are former students or are not a part of his classroom on a daily basis.

High school history teacher and coach Bubba Nall from Florala High School in Covington County was nominated by his student who says that he changes lives for the better everyday.

Nall is known to turn history lessons into life lessons and find inspiration and passion no matter where he is.

Michelle Jackson from Chisholm Elementary School in Montgomery was nominated by a coworker who says she soars above the situation because of her passion for her student's education.

Jackson's students love her... And she has helped them raise test scores to meet national standards.... Making her class and model and master class in reading.
