This week, Alabama News Network visits J. E. Hobbs Elementary School in Wilcox County to recognize a special teacher for an outstanding job in the classroom.

This week's Golden Apple Award goes to Pre K teacher Marsha Sims.

Sims was nominated by a parent of one of her students who says that her son thinks she's the best teacher in the world.

Sims goes out of her way to make sure her students feel loved.  She says that her heart belongs to the little ones.
