Alabama News Network visits Fort Deposit Elementary School in Lowndes County to recognize a special teacher for an outstanding job in the classroom.

This week's Golden Apple Award goes to second grade teacher Eloise Jenkins.

Mrs. Jenkins was nominated by her principal Daryl Arms who says that she is a model educator that has a strong desire to touch the lives of all her students.

Jenkins has been teaching for 24 years.
