Five Arrested For Drug Charges In Covington County

What started as a welfare check turned into a drug bust in Covington County on Tuesday.

Authorities arrested Rickey Burgans, Timothy Capers, Christopher Capers, Marilene Rose Mathews and Sylvia Denise Reaves, all of Starlight Lane.

When deputies arrived at the residence they found drugs and paraphernalia in plain view.

Authorities recovered numerous containers of what appeared to be meth, precursor chemicals, smoking devices and marijuana.

All arrested were charged with Manufacturing Of Controlled Substance 1st, Possession Of Controlled Substance, Possession Of Drug paraphernalia and Possession Of Marijuana 2nd.

Mathews was also charged with Giving False I.D. to Law Enforcement Officers.
