By Molly Clifton

One of the four final candidates for the next president of Alabama State University is withdrawing his name from consideration.

Alabama State University says Jorge Haddock is no longer a part of the short list being considered by the University's presidential search committee.

Haddock is currently serving as a professor in the School of Management for George Mason University.

The other three candidates remaining on the list are Quinton Ross, Gwendolyn Boyd, and Brigadier General Samual T. Nichols.
