Farmer's Market Closes Shop for Season

By Alabama News Network

The Labor Day weekend means it's almost the end of summer. Today is the last day of the season for a popular summer tradition, the farmers market at EastChase.

The market has dozens of vendors selling everything from fresh local fruits and vegetables to unique items like natural bath products, handmade jewelry, and fresh cut flowers. Some farmers say that they will continue to sell at Earthfare and local supermarkets.

The market will open again on Memorial Day weekend. This was the ninth year for the farmer's market at EastChase.
