Elmore Co. Man Pleads Guilty in Death of His Wife

An Elmore County man's murder trial comes to an abrupt end when he pleads guilty to manslaughter.

Jamie Slay was facing a murder charge in the death of his wife Patricia Allen.

She was found dead in her home on Titus Road in Elmore County in March.

Slay confessed to killing Allen with a shotgun following an argument.

He was drunk at the time of the shooting.

The Elmore County District Attorney's office will recommend a 12-year sentence.

Slay will be out on bond until his sentencing hearing Feburary 26th.
