Elmore Co. Deputies Search for Mother "Looking for God"

Elmore Co. Sheriff's deputies need your help finding a mother who they say is in distress as she is "looking for God".

Authorities say Lamona Bender left her two children, ages two and five, on Harragote Springs Road in Elmore County yesterday.

They say the children were fine, but told authorities that their mother walked off on foot in search of God.

Bender's car was found two miles away.

Authorities say she was later spotted at a Wetumpka grocery store, but the search has been suspended until authorities have more information.
