Elmore Co. Authorities Searching for Two Escaped Inmates

Two  men have escaped from the Elmore County Detention Facility.

The escapees are identified as forty year old Jamie Morgan ans thirty-three  year old Jeremy Hadden. Both men were serving time for theft of property.

Hadden was also serving time for a previous escape attempt. 


Elmore County Sheriff Bill Franklin tells CBS 8 news the men escaped sometime between nine and ten last night.


Franklin says they went up highway 231 across the coosa river and went into the Whitewater subdivision on highway 111 in wetumpka.


They may be traveling in a 2008 beige toyota van that they stole from that neighborhood. The tag number for that vehicle is 29C90L6.
