Early Morning Fire Intentionally Set

Montgomery Fire Department  responded to an early morning fire at the Ashton Apartments on Carmichael Road.

Officials with the fire department say the fire started just before 3:00 a.m. and has been ruled as arson.

Upon arrival, fire crews found heavy smoke and flames visible on first and second floors of the buildings.

Two unites were damaged in the fire and no injuries have been reported.
 
This the second fire at the complex in less than a year, after another fire destroyed several units blast November.
