Deer Gun Season Opens in Alabama; Online Form Tracks Harvest

By Kristen Fisher

Deer gun season starts Saturday across Alabama, and the state has an online service for hunters to help them keep track of kills.
The online form, created by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, helps manage the deer population and allows hunters to track their harvests over time.
The agency says the website is key for wildlife biologists because it helps manage a healthy herd.
Gun season ends in January.
