Dallas Co. Deputies Investigate Fatal Shooting

Dallas Co. Sheriff's deputies are investigating the shooting death of a man in the Minter community.

Sheriff Harris Huffman says 47-year-old J.C. Gaines was shot to death with an assault rifle after an argument led to gunfire. He says the shooting happened at around 1 o'clock Sunday morning.

Huffman says Gaines died while being taken to the hospital. His body has now been taken to the state forensics department in Montgomery.
