CBS 8 is covering Greenville, where the gates are nearly ready to open for the Butler County Fair..

People spent the day registering food and crafts at the Butler County Fairgrounds. Hundreds of entries in an art exhibit will be judged Tuesday morning... all to display a taste of a Butler County tradition that's been around for 58 years.

"I think it's a lot of fun and I think the people that come can get a lot out of it because they can see how people are so crafty in the things that they do. And I just think it's a lot of fun. I enjoy doing it," Said Georgiana resident, Suzy Shepherd, who says she's been attending the event for years.

The fair opens Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. and runs through Saturday. Admission for adults is $6, children between 46 in. and 60 in. are $2, and those under 46 in. are free.
