Controversy still swirls over the reopening of the nighclub where shootings killed three people.

Montgomery City Council members tell us after the former Rose Supper Club shut down the owners and the city council spent about 6 months discussing and revising the idea of reopening the bar with a liquor license as the Centenial Hill Bar and Grill.

A nine to zero vote meant another chance, that turned to disappointment.

The bar was immediately closed down after the murders, and mayor strange says it's unlikely the city will be able to tear down the building, but he sayd the city plans to inspect the building soon.

A few years ago there was a murder of a security guard on January 8th; at a local club called "O"(formerly none as Trends)located on the E.S.Boulevard. That single murder prompted the immediate closing of the business. As well as the demolition of the club and the hotel attached to it. So I ask would the city be more inclined to demolish "The Rose" if it was located on the Boulevard. As long as the violence is kept in the ghettos and rural areas the city seems some what hesitant to set forth the same zero tolerance for violence that it so none hesitantly express/exemplifies on the more affluent side of town.

Get your facts straight that's not the reason why the club and hotel was closed down....The owners Shogun a restaurant across the street. They closed both location and went back to there country.... Gets your facts straight tearing or burning down a place still not going to stop the killing....

1st of all I want to say in regards to this latest shooting if you wasn't there then stop going off here say.I was there.not inside but outside minutes before the shooting started. Two Mpd vehicles were parked directly in front of the club.one officer was outside talking to a patron the other was about to get out for what ever reason. Security was no where in sight!!!! That's when the bullets started flying inside the club. Luckily Mpd just so happen to have been outside to respond promptly as they did then the shooting wouldn't have continued outside. I spoke with the guard in charge that night of Tri-County Security Co and he stated the owner of the club ordered the security to search "inside "the club rather than outside. The Biggest mistake they ever could have made!!!! So you do the math on who's responsible for the shooting!!!

So you all are saying if a shooter comes in AppleBees and shoot innocent victims for whatever reason then AppleBees should be closed down as well right? Its not the building its the mind frame of people! Things can't change until people transform their state of mind!
