Charles Henderson Football Players Mourn Loss of Teammate

By Jessica Gertler

The Charles Henderson Football team in Troy is mourning the loss of a teammate who died in a car crash yesterday in Crenshaw County.

17-year-old Noah Allison was killed in the wreck on Highway 29 outside Luverne.

He was a rising senior, and today, in his memory, his teammates hung his jersey in his locker.

"Noah worked hard on the field, but like once you got out of high school, outside of practice, he was a relaxed person. Really goofy," says teammate William Edwards.

This is the third loss the team has had to cope with in the last 13 months.

Last summer, teammate Ronnell Moore was killed in a car accident and Defensive Coach Tyrone Black died of natural causes in October.
