CDC Holds Voter Forum at Cleveland Ave. YMCA

By WNCF

With a little less than a month until the primaries, many voters attended a forum Thursday tonight to learn more about the candidates who will be on the ballot.

The Community Development Corporation held this candidate forum at the Cleveland Avenue YMCA.

Candidates for Montgomery County Commission, various judgeship position, and circuit clerk races were in attendance.

Community members asked the candidates questions and heard their platform on issues ranging from backed court cases to education.

Voters say this was a good opportunity to meet the people who may soon run this county.

“I’m looking for transparency, I’m looking for truthfulness, and unbiased if they're a judicial candidate - especially if they're a judicial candidate,” said Karen Jones, a Montgomery resident.

“I'm concerned about charter schools. I don’t quite understand it verses the public school so I’m trying to get more information along those lines,” said Lester Holston, a Montgomery resident.

The primary is March thirteenth.
