Butler Co. Drug Bust Leads to Dozens of Arrests

By CBS 8 News

Butler Co. deputies have made dozens of arrests after a four-month drug investigation.

Deputies say 30 people have been charged with drug possession and distribution. Investigators say the suspects dealt with marijuana, crack cocaine and prescription pills.

The county has been doing undercover drug buys to clear drug activity off the streets. Sheriff Kenny Harden says this was a joint effort between the Butler County Sheriff's Office, the Greenville, Georgiana and McKenzie police departments as well as the 2nd Judicial District Drug Task Force.

He says they hope to find three remaining distributors in the next couple of weeks.
