Busy Halloween In Troy

By Sarah Cantey

Halloween was a busy day for law enforcement in Troy.  Right when the Trojans kicked off against Louisiana Monroe, trick-or-treaters were heading out the door.  Police upped their patrols because game day traffic was a safety concern.

The city hosted a Halloween themed downtown tailgate and the university hosted a trick or treating event of their own. Some parents embraced the safer alternatives over going door to door.
Mandy Cooper said, "I feel like it's safer than going house to house because now a days you just never know and it's just easier to do it at the Troy activities. There's more things to do, it's more exciting."The university also let kids dressed up in costume into the game for free.
